Redwater 4-H Council
The Redwater 4-H Council is a group of 4-H members and leaders comprised with equal representation from either county, including youth representation. This council is a voting entity responsible for continually striving to "make the best, better" and keep lines of communication and agenda items open between 4-H members.
The Council meets every other month generally on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 at the Extension Office. The minutes will reflect when the next meeting will be.
4-H Shooting Sports in Butte & Lawrence Counties
Shooting Sports is just one of more than 70 project areas available in the 4-H Program. There are two shooting sports groups in Butte & Lawrence counties. Both groups are open to all 4-H members in Butte and Lawrence counties and 4-H members are welcome to join whichever group fits their schedule. These are special interest groups that meet in addition to regular club work.
Butte County 4-H Shooting Sports meets weekly on Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Choose the day and time that works best for your family. All practices are held in the basement of the Economic Development building in Belle Fourche. This group offers BB Gun, Air Rifle, Air Pistol and Archery. .22 Rifle and .22 Pistol are also available, weather permitting, to regular attendees. Lawrence County Sharp Shooters meets weekly on Sunday evenings at 5:00 PM at the Historic Homestake Opera House Shooting Range in Lead. This group offers BB Gun, Air Rifle, and Air Pistol. .22 Rifle and .22 Pistol are also available on a limited basis. Pesticide Applicator Testing Site
Butte Lawrence County Extension Office is an approved Pesticide Applicator Testing (PAT) site serving both Butte and Lawrence counties. Commercial and Private PAT is by appointment only. To schedule an appointment call the Extension Office. When scheduling please know which additional section you will be taking in addition to the General (G) for a commercial license.
