From Julie:
I am pleased to announce that Butte County now has a Land Notification system. This is a free alert that you can sign up for that will notify you whenever anything is recorded in the Register of Deeds office on any of your land that you want an alert for. You will need to, first, sign up for an idocmarket.com account (instructions are on the Welcome page). This part is free. Once you’ve selected South Dakota & Butte County, you will see a Shield symbol. Click on that to register for alerts. That is also free, but you will need a subscription to view or print any documents. Call if you have any questions.
